Mark enjoys his work immensely and has special interests in the Building and Construction area of law after completing an apprenticeship and becoming a licenced Carpenter prior to becoming a Solicitor. This background has enabled him to clearly define and fully understand the issues that tradesmen often face and gives him an informed ability to suggest alternative solutions in order to resolve matters in a commercial, cost-effective and timely manner.
Mark’s background also enables him to properly advise clients about any issues of defective work that may have been carried out for them by tradesmen.
Mark has appeared in all the State and Federal Courts, as well as the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (“QCAT”), mediations and conferences. He is extremely experienced in acting for both Claimants and Respondents in Adjudication Applications under the repealed Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004 [now known as the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017 (Qld)] and has an extensive knowledge of that Act. With his attention to detail and efficiency, many of our clients have developed strong, trusting relationships with Mark.
Mark has nearly twenty (20) years of legal experience. He is a dedicated family man and spends much of his spare time being involved with the volunteer surf lifesaving club that his daughter is a member of and involved in his son’s football team and assistant coach of his son’s cricket team.
His down to earth, straight to the point professional approach ensures clients will experience the highest level of customer service, satisfaction and professional advice and representation that they require.
